Huang Jin Gui, famous Oolong tea from Fujian Province, is a far-famed for its diversified and refreshing flavor. This fresh scenting tea with bright golden liquor is smooth and rich with flowery aroma. It is one of the four famous Anxi oolong along with Tie Guan Yin.
The name Huang Jin Gui means “Golden Osmanthus” and appeared because of bright golden color of liquor and green yellow shade of tea leaves after infusion. Also it carries distinct osmanthus flower-like aroma.
Premium grade Huang Jin Gui differs from the regular grade by the number of leaves and stem processed. Premium grade has mostly leaves and less stems. The taste is rich though complex with a flowery woodbine flavor.
How to steep:
Don’t forget to rinse the tea first before infusion. Use the water with approx. temperature 195F. To get it boil the water first, then turn the heat off and wait for about 30 sec for it to cool. Take 1 tsp per 8 oz of water and infuse 4-5 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.
